It’s safe to say that Brooklyn Beckham is one of the coolest teenagers on the planet right now.
His dad is none other than trendy, gorgeous, former professional footballer David Beckham, his mum is beautiful, stylish, esteemed fashion designer Victoria Beckham and he basically wants for nothing.
He considers Kanye West one of his actual acquaintances, he is at every popular music festival going, and he divides his time between his family home in London and his family home in Los Angeles – if he’s not on a luxury holiday that is.
In short, I definitely wouldn’t have minded his lifestyle back when I was 17.
However, being Brooklyn Beckham appears to come at a cost, with the aspiring photographer quickly learning that having parents with millions of social media followers doesn’t make life easy.
In fact, if David’s stunt from last week is anything to go by, there’s not a lot that Brooklyn can do to avoid his embarrassing parents.
Here are some of the most cringetastic social media moments that poor Brooklyn has ever been subjected to at the hands of his parents – enjoy:
Last week, David had us all in stitches when uber-cool Brooklyn treated his millions of followers to a live chat only for it to be taken over by his dad.
Poking fun at his son, Becks quipped: “That’s my shirt” before telling the teen: “You should be at school.”
Brook is sure to keep his Instagram page incredibly arty with on point black and white photos that show off his serious side.
However, David is less fussy about his Insta page and was more than happy to post a pic of his eldest son chilling with a leprechaun whilst poking fun at the starlet’s suave persona.
He captioned the snap with: “Brooklyn looking his cool self… Sorry but I had to post this.. Love you big boy.”
Believe it or not, last week wasn’t the first time that David called Brooklyn out for stealing his clothes, previously exposing Brook’s ‘retro style’.
In a typically artistic selfie, Brooklyn had captioned his photo with: “Rocking the old school Ralph Lauren”, only for David to retort: “That’s my jumper.”
Hmmm, so not exactly vintage, eh Brooklyn?
She might be one of the most desirable people on the planet, but that doesn’t mean that Victoria is exempt from being a ‘classic mum’, constantly gushing about how much she loves her children.
Obviously there’s is nothing wrong with loving your kids but remember when you were a moody teenager? I reckon I would have died if my mum posted a tote bag proclaiming its love for me for the entire world to see.
Vic captioned this sweet snap with: “Miss you Brooklyn! x”.
When she isn’t with her children, Posh has to improvise ways to prove her love but when she’s back at home then she documents it by SHOWERING THEM ALL WITH SO MANY KISSES.
It doesn’t matter how famous your parents are, when you’re 17 your mates will probably rib you about the smooches – especially when Victoria even pointed out the potential embarrassment with the caption: “Never too old for a kiss from mum X #embarrassingmummoment”.
At least she knows it.
Oh, and David is just as bad on the kissing front.
To be honest, right now I’d just be grateful to be given a plate of pancakes in the morning but I probably wouldn’t want my mum to arrange it into a cute little mouse face before posting it to social media with the caption: “@BrooklynBeckham enjoyed his Easter breakfast!”
Don’t you know that he has a rep to protect, Vics?
When the Beckham clan took a family trip to Disneyland, Brooklyn and David were sure to upload pics that definitely did not show Brook having the same amount of fun as his toddler sister and younger brothers.
In fact, David shared photos of himself, Cruz, and Romeo posing with the princesses and left his eldest son completely out of it… But Victoria must have missed the memo, sharing a snapshot of the up-and-coming model posing up a storm with Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen with the caption: “Brooklyn’s loving Disney!”
Gee, thanks mum.
Before you go thinking that David isn’t really that embarrassing, spare a thought for Brooklyn’s first Instagram video that saw him get totally roasted by his dad.
Sharing a vid to thank his fans for getting him to one million followers, the clip is interrupted by David popping his face into shot and quipping: “I have 52 [million]”.
This is undeniably the most embarrassing social media moment that poor Brook has ever been subjected to.
Remember? That one time that Victoria forced her disgruntled teen son to wear a t-shirt that read: “My mama says I’m special”, and Brook couldn’t look more unhappy with the candid moment if he tried?
Although I have to admit, I bloomin’ love it.
